I feel terrible announcing this, but I feel you all should know.Reimann
, myself, no longer has the time to participate in the HBT. I had initially thought to pass the HBT on to someone else and to simply drop out, but it would seem the other staff prefers if I didn't.
We have done some discussion on this subject for the past few months, and we came to a conclusion. - I can barely squeeze out personal art for myself (and often fail an assignment for my course when I try to..), because my school has been suddenly giving an obnoxious amount of class work for the new college courses I am taking. Juggling 4+ classes (with the work equiv to about 6-8 courses.... I kid you not...), and trying to survive off of commissions for food, proves very difficult. I have commissions waiting on me from nearly 6 months ago, and sadly, HBT, being the sheer amount of work and effort it requires from me, (events, voting, rounds, character art...etc) I am putting it on Hiatus.
I do not know how long. Gafagear and Kearra have said they will still provide mini-events for you guys to do, but the main rounds will no longer be occurring since I simply cannot handle it. (And they have pleaded with me not to leave, despite me feeling it would be the best option..;;;;; ) I don't even have applications for my own characters in the group.
I love you all very much and you have meant a lot to me since I've joined deviantart. Hyrule Battle Tournament was my first group and it has grown to such vast numbers and activity since I started it, and I was amazed by it's success. I will miss you all very much in this time of Hiatus, but feel free to always drop me a note or visit me in my non-tournament groups.
Thank you all, and I am very sorry for this problem. I know I haven't been too active in the group and interest is being lost, but between leaving and/or closing the group, the other staff preferred a Hiatus.
